Dan Cangelosi brings nine years of experience in sports performance to his role as the Brooklyn Aviators USPHL Premier Team’s new Strength and Conditioning Coach for the 2024-2025 season. Dan is excited to elevate the team’s physical prowess and overall performance. His dedication to pushing boundaries and implementing cutting-edge training techniques ensures that the Aviators will be primed for success both on and off the ice.
Dan brings his expertise as a strength and conditioning trainer from several highly regarded sports performance organizations. He served as a key member of the coaching staff at Next Level Training, a sports performance facility in Morristown, NJ, from 2015 to 2017. Following his tenure there, Dan continued to make an impact in the field at Train Hard Win Big, a sports performance center located in Wilmington, DE, where he worked from 2019 to 2021. Additionally, Dan collaborated with Outrain Sports Performance in southern Delaware, further solidifying his reputation as a top-tier trainer in the region. Certified as a Strength Coach by AAAI/ISMA, Dan’s dedication to excellence and passion for athletic development has left an indelible mark on the athletes he’s worked with throughout his career.
Dan also has had an amazing hockey playing career as well. Hailing from Rockaway, New Jersey, Dan began his hockey journey with a
state championship win at Morris Knolls High School. Transitioning to junior hockey with the
Philadelphia Revolution and New England Wolves of the EHL, he honed his skills before committing to
NCAA Division 3 hockey at Neumann University. Following his collegiate career, he played one
year of professional hockey in the FPHL and SPHL, single A pro hockey leagues in the USA.
Now, as the Aviator’s Strength and Conditioning Coach for the 2024-2025 season, he combines his first hand experience on the ice with his passion for sports performance to optimize player potential.
